Hoping to cast a line in Wrightsville Beach? Dead Tide Sportfishing is your ticket! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Will knows them forwards and back.
Depending on the time of year, you might hook into Amberjack, Bonito, Cobia, Mahi Mahi, Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Scamp Grouper, African Pompano Jack, Blackfin Tuna, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Sailfish, and whatever else takes the bait. For these species, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light or heavy tackle.
You’re welcome to bring home any fish you catch, assuming they’re legal to keep. Catch cleaning is available, so you can take your fish home and throw it right into the pan. Enjoy it later that day or pack it away for months down the line.
Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Be sure to ask if child-sized life vests are available, otherwise, you should bring your own. And, you can’t go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty stomach!
Capt. Will welcomes you aboard a 28’ Contender center console with a capacity for 6 passengers. It has outriggers, downriggers, and all the essentials no fishing machine can run without. Your captain will provide rods and reels, as well as lures. Live bait is available, but it’s good to ask about this so you know if you’ll be catching it yourself.
The charter boat covers your fishing license, so all you have to do is look forward to your trip! Be mindful that some species may have special rules or limited seasons. If you don’t know what to expect, ask the captain.
It’s recommended to bring sunglasses, bottled water, and sunscreen (non-spray). If you’d like to bring other drinks, just ask.
Now, time to hit the water with Dead Tide Sportfishing!
