How to book the best vacation property experience:

When to visit Carolina Beach & When to reserve a Carolina Beach rental home:

  • Summer is high season in Carolina Beach. To get the best value, shift your vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain deals for nearby shops and restaurants.

Choosing and booking the best Wilmington, NC rental:

  • Start by selecting vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. 2BR\/2BA Oceanfront Condo, Pool, Sleeps 6, monthly optional b\/w nov and feb 28th has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wilmington, NC rental home search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If not, email the host before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what is suitable for your group.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.

Tips to have a smooth stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you are out. Keep your property safe!
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
