Tips to get the optimal vacation home experience:

Getting the best value:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Carolina Beach. Reserve your Wilmington, NC vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Wilmington, NC area visitor guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • First, have your family choose a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. 4 Seasons Getaway has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If there's a specific Wilmington, NC attraction you long to visit, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas during arrival. text the rental manager right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
