  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 1500 square feet

Amazing beach home only a short walk from the ocean! A great location at a great North Carolina beach! The neighborhood is beautiful and peaceful and the neighbors are friendly. The beach is pretty and just a straight walk or drive down the road. We can hear the ocean waves at nighttime. Generous front porch with rocking chairs and table. Extensive master bedroom with handsome bath. Coffee ready to go, a library, cable TV in living room. Please note that there is a main road to cross - E. Oak Island Dr. - to get to the beach. It gets busy during rush hour and high season. It’s better to take a right there and then a left on 73rd St. to avoid waiting. Parents will need to accompany kids if walking.

About the Area

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Caswell Beach and Bay Beach, while Smith Island Museum of History and Franklin Square Gallery are cultural highlights. Traveling with kids? Consider Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport. Tricks and tips for getting the perfect vacation rental experience:

Get the best value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the largest rental for your budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • In the Wilmington, NC area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Wilmington, NC area travel guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beautiful Beach Getaway! Walk to Beach! Sleeps 6. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If there's a particular Wilmington, NC beach you love, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. E-mail the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
