Parking - Unit only accepts two (2) cars and can only park one car in the B bay under the condo. Parking is tight especially during the prime season. The middle bays are for the 2nd car. Each car must display contact placard supplied in condo with the phone you will be carrying in case your car needs to be moved. If you have 2 cars, the suggestion would be to try and park in one of the middle bays that can only fit 2 cars and designate 1 car as the main transportation source for the week and try and use Uber or walk as much as possible to avoid having to play musical cars the entire week.

About the Area

Vacation rental tips and tricks:

Sticking to your spending plan:

  • In the Wilmington, NC area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Carolina Beach. To get the best value, consider changing your trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many management companies supply Wilmington, NC area travel guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Beautiful Oceanfront 3-Bedroom Condo within walking distance to the Boardwalk has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. Otherwise, call the host before you book your home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a certain Wilmington, NC beach you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

More considerations:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
