Tips to get the perfect rental experience:

Getting the most from your rental budget:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • To find the best value, consider shifting your family's Wilmington, NC vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wilmington, NC area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the perfect vacation home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, choose your dates, and choose a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Snow's Cut Haven - Your quiet retreat! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a certain Wilmington, NC beach you long to visit, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.

Have a great stay:

  • Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Contact the host right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers bothering your life at home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
