Our bungalow has been listed 1 year by Vacation Rental By Owner

Avoid the check-in / check-out chaos on Saturdays. Peak season units are from Sunday to Sunday.

Linens are supplied and the beds are made, waiting for you to get here! The bungalow is supplied with the necessities such as beach chairs (at least 4), a corn hole board, some kids' toys, and even a spice cabinet for your convenience to complement your stay.

All kitchen appliances (except the microwave) were replaced in March of 2024. The HVAC system was replaced in December 2024. The refrigerator even has a dual-capacity ice maker.

Majestic vistas of the Atlantic Ocean! Sip on your favorite morning drink and watch the sunrise. In the winter, you could watch the sunrise and the sunset from the ocean-side deck! Of course, you could take a few steps down the boardwalk to the beach and have solitude during the sunrises and sunsets.

Keep the lights off and stargaze at nighttime. Have you ever used the "SkyVue" app on your phone?

Have a modest sailboat or catamaran? Unload/Load once near the pier and leave it between the dunes and the boardwalk during the nighttime while you stay there!

The beach is wide during low tide which provides great opportunities for shelling, walking, or running the beach. And a shower is just a few steps away to rinse off when you get back.

Being that this location is one of the less populated areas of the beach, there is minimal competition to get the ideal location on the surf to set up your "stuff" on the beach.
A great place for games on the beach. When it comes time to get off the beach for the day, all that stuff can be left inside the dunes and near the steps to the boardwalk without bringing it back to the home. Setups can't be any easier!

Do the kids want to putt-putt? Go get ice cream? Go to the pier? It's a short walk to those destinations. A golf cart is not needed.

Want to stay at home and not go out to eat? Downstairs is set up with gas and charcoal grilles and a great place to savor happy hours as meals are prepared. We also have a propane burner and a big pot for shrimp boils. It is also a great place to play games (corn hole) if it's raining.

The outside shower is cavernous and private.

Grand living area, 4 bedrooms / 2 baths upstairs. 2 bedrooms / 1 bath downstairs. Sleeps, 13 people. We call one of the downstairs bedrooms the honeymoon suite - this bedroom makes it possible to get away from some of the hustle and bustle if you're there with a bigger crowd.

Decks are on the front and rear of the bungalow. The ocean side decks have gates to keep what's on the decks (kids and family pets) on the decks.

A washer and dryer are included downstairs in the storage room.

Ample parking for 7 to 8 cars.

You will receive additional correspondence from me with more info a few weeks before your scheduled arrival. I will send it to your e-mail address.

NOTE: There is a $100 Administrative Fee (per booking) added to the price for renting our bungalow. If you report to the owner (by e-mail, text, or phone call) that you DID NOT bring pets, the $100 administrative fee will be refunded to you after your stay.

Our top Ocean Isle Beach rental home tips and tricks:

How to get the best value:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking your Wilmington, NC vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is an excellent way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • First, have your family choose trip dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Dog-Friendly, No-Smoking, Ocean Front Cottage, Center of the Island has 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs might be applied to your contract.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

Have a great stay:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • To make sure damages are not attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a terrific resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
