Strategies for getting the best rental home experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Wilmington, NC area. To book the most suitable rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many property management companies supply Wilmington, NC area visitor guides that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to select the best rental in the Wilmington, NC area:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. \"Holden Peach\" - Luxury Oceanfront Home, 4 Bedrooms \/ 4.5 Bathrooms has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what bed configuration is right for your group.
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the host's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during arrival. text the host right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to inspire new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
