You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
• The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
• Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
• Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance.
