I'm a people person. I had four kids in five years. I appreciate all animals. I appreciate meeting new people. So far I've met a great guy from Australia, a nice lady from Brazil, and two enchanting ladies from Germany. Having international guests makes me feel like I've traveled there (I've seen Germany, it is spotless and charming).
I've sold real estate since 2005, adore it. I'm thrilled to call Wilmington home. Fall in appreciate with Wilmington and savor the magic it has to offer.

Wilmington vacation rental home tips and tricks:

When to book a Wilmington, NC rental home & When to go:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wilmington, NC area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
