Located just over half a mile from the iconic Oak Island Lighthouse, this pretty home features a reverse floorplan and fantastic vistas of the dunes and the Atlantic Ocean beyond, plus beautiful amenities such as a private elevator and a pool table.

The open concept living area is flooded with natural light and features cathedral ceilings. Gleaming hardwoods, sandy neutrals and pops of fun color and nautical décor complete the beachy feel. Gather together across from the huge flatscreen TV to share a favorite movie or watch the big game. The sturdy round dining table is set for six, with additional folding chairs in the closet and an additional four seats at the adjacent breakfast bar. The modern kitchen provides plenty of counter space for meal preparation including a center island and stainless-steel appliances. A half bathroom is located off this space for convenience.

You’ll also find the primary bedroom suite on this level. Furnished with a king bed, you’ll wake up to the waves each morning thanks to direct deck access. This space also features closet space and a private en suite bathroom, with his and her sinks and a step in shower.

On the lower level, the final four bedrooms surround a central lounge space and game room. Equipped with a sizable flat screen TV, comfortable couches, a Wii Console with games and even a pool table, this is the ideal spot to host the ultimate family game nighttime. When the excitement is over and everybody is ready to retire for the nighttime, you’ll find each bedroom on this level features its own bathroom and a TV for personal entertainment.

Both of the oceanfront bedrooms provide direct deck access and a private bathroom with a standard tub/shower combo. The east bedroom has a king bed, while the west bedroom is furnished with a queen. The west back bedroom has two twin beds, and also features a private bathroom with a standard tub/shower combo. The east back bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and a twin bed, and a private bathroom with a step in shower.

Outside, two levels of broad decks are equipped with plenty of classic wooden rockers and drink tables. There’s also a comfortable outdoor loveseat on the lower, covered porch. The upper deck is open and provides the ideal perch to soak in the sunshine and the vistas. When you’re ready to hit the sand, a private boardwalk leads to a dune top deck with constructed in deck seating that is just steps off the shores of peaceful Caswell Beach.

After the day’s adventures, cleaning up is a breeze, with an open rinse off shower available on your boardwalk and and enclosed outdoor shower available under the property on the ground level. Here, you’ll also find a pair of charcoal grilles for your family’s bar-b-que master and a basketball hoop for further fun and games. How to find the best rental home experience:

Getting the best value:

  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the best vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at Wilmington, NC restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. One More Day Caswell: Oceanfront Home With Elevator has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before you book the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to establish what configuration is best for your group.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.

Have a great stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to inspire new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
