Planning and choosing the rightvacation home:

  • First and foremost, have your family select trip dates and a budget.

  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
