Tips to get the best Wilmington rental home experience:

When to visit Wilmington & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wilmington, NC area visitors guides that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Choosing and booking a perfectvacation home:

  • First, have your family choose a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Palazzo Sul Monte-Uno has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before you book the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your family.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the owner's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the rental manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to stimulate more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
