About the Area

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in South Beach, a neighborhood in Bald Head Island. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Kent Mitchell Nature Trail and The Clubs at St. James. North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Bald Head Island Information Center are also worth visiting. When to go & When to reserve a rental home:

• The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
• Summer is high season in Bald Head Island. Book your Wilmington, NC rental property in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer. Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.

• Walk through the property one final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
• Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good feedback to propel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
