Tips and Tricks to get the best rental experience:
Get the best value:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in Holden Beach. To get the largest rental home within budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, property management companies supply Wilmington, NC area travel guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing the best vacation home in Holden Beach:
- Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. \"Serenity By The Sea\" - Oceanfront Home w\/ Private Pool, 5 Bedrooms \/ 4.5 Bathrooms has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
More considerations:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
