Tips and Tricks to get the best rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To find the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have discounts for local shops and restaurants.

How to choose the best vacation rental:

  • Select a group lead, choose your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Stunning Modern 4 Bedroom House Center of Wilmington-NO cleaning fee! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your family.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Is your group looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • Upon check-in, note any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great stay? Many rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
