Finding the best vacation rental experience:
Finding the best rental value:
- Reserve your vacation home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guides contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.
Planning and choosing a perfectrental:
- Select your vacation dates and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. The Breezes! Oceanview on the Boardwalk. has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Document any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute arises.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
