Here you'll be a fast walk from the sandy shore and only mins. down the road from everything OKI offers. No Animals Accepted.

Upon walking in and going down the hallway, you're instantly greeted with an open floor plan that takes full advantage of the majestic scenery! The living space features an enormous sectional couch ideal for snuggling up to watch your favorite shows or movies, a handsome entertainment center with flatscreen TV, and additional seating for cozying up with a book (or tablet). A few steps away is an extended wet bar with everything you need to prepare your drink of choice, including a separate mini refrigerator. There's even an outdoor elevator to make loading and unloading your belongings from the car a breeze!

If you plan to prepare during your stay, you'll adore the kitchen! There is an abundance of counter space, pretty cabinetry, a huge pantry, and full-size appliances — literally everything you need to prepare a meal and more! There's even bar seating for up to 4, and the dining area has seating for up to 6. This space is finished by a powder room and laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer. If you ask us, the best seat in the home is outside on the back deck and balcony, which features those amazing vistas, a dining area with seating for 4, and a gas grille!

All three of the bedrooms are located on this main level and provide a private getaway for you and your family or guests! The master bedroom is on the left of the hallway as you walk into the home, and it features a king-size bed, constructed-in cabinetry/wardrobe, closet, and ensuite bathroom with two sinks, linen closet, and enormous walk-in shower. The first guest bedroom has a queen-size bed, rocking chair, and closet. While the second guest bedroom offers a single twin bed, writing desk, and comfortable couch. These two guest bedrooms are connected by a sizable Jack and Jill bathroom with a tub/shower combination and two vanities.

There are even more amenities than we can list — like the included beach gear available for your use (chairs and a wagon)! And, for those who need to stay connected or are working remotely while here, you'll find wireless internet and plenty of space to spread out with your laptop. One thing is sure; you'll find a peaceful hideaway at Marsh Mellow on OKI while only being a short walk to the beach, eateries, shopping, and more.

Please Note: Linens are supplied with your reservation and contain the following: flat and fitted bed sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths.

Tips for getting the best vacation property experience:

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • Summertime is high season in Oak Island. To find the best value, consider changing your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • In the Wilmington, NC area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wilmington, NC area visitor guides which often include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Make a plan and choose yourvacation home:

  • To start, have your group select dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Tranquil OKI Home w\/ Marsh Views has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wilmington, NC rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly available online. Otherwise, reach out to the host before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is best for your trip.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • At Check-in, make note of any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to compel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
