Wilmington, NC rental home tips:

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • Summer time is high season in Holden Beach. Book your vacation in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Wilmington, NC area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the perfect vacation rental in Holden Beach:

  • Begin by selecting your the best vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Hobbs Realty - Unwind in \"Sea Salt,\" a gorgeous oceanfront home with a private heated pool. has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property manager before you book your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If there's an individual Wilmington, NC destination you are enamored with, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable breeds and types before booking.

During your stay:

  • Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Record any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are valuable if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
