While the first two floors and backyard (pool/hot tub) of the home will be for you and your guests, I live on the 3rd floor when I am in Carolina Beach but otherwise it is vacant. Lastly, guests with infants/toddlers should be aware that the home is not kid proof and there is not a locking gate to the pool. ****PLEASE READ

Complementary features at your disposal include: Four 55+ inch screen TVs with Cable/Roku, Wi-Fi, Pool Towels, (5) Beach Chairs, (1) Beach Umbrella, Beach Cart, Cooler, Cornhole & Pickleball (court located up the street) set

Please reach out if there is any concern over my level of access to your living space! As noted, I may be on the third floor, but always on call incase of any problems, and we will only have the potential of passing each other in the entry hallway as I head to and from the driveway to the elevator.

Many guests have adored their stay with me but would hate for there to be any misunderstandings not realized until you arrive!

Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Wilmington, NC vacation home experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is high season in the Wilmington, NC area. Book your Wilmington, NC vacation in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies supply Wilmington, NC area visitor guides which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • First, have your family agree to a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Villa Jennette w\/ Private Pool, Hot Tub & Ocean Views has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before booking the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your vacation.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a specific Wilmington, NC attraction you are crazy about, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking

Tips for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • During arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
