Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally located beach condo! We are just a few steps away from the ocean's edge where you can savor surf, sun, sand, elegant vistas of the sunrise, sunset and the iconic Ocean Isle Pier. Unwind under the shaded porch while listening to the waves, sipping on your morning coffee or afternoon beverage. Savor your meals poolside or as a beach picnic at sunset. Make memories at Anchor'D in OIB.
The space
Our appealing beachfront condo, Anchor'D in OIB, is located smack dab on the ocean and is in the heart of all the action. As the new owners this season, we made modest decorative enhancements to the already pretty and hip condo which had just gone through a major remodel.

We take care of all the little things - towels, linens, coffee, and snacks for your first day of arrival - so that you can pack your bag of essentials and let us take care of the rest!

Guests are less than one block from all the action. Let kids and adults frolic in OIB's new play park, complete with water features, amphitheater (Wednesday nighttime Movies & Friday nighttime concert series) and kids' playground. Mini Golf, Sunset Slush, and eateries overlooking the handsome inter coastal waterway are just a 3-min. walk from our condo.

For more fun activities, check out OIB Pier fishing, surf stores for units, the Museum of Coastal Carolina (all things sea creatures), shopping at the local stores and just a short drive away is the cute fishing town of Calabash. If you're into adventure, the Swamp Park -Zip Line and ATV Center are just a few miles away, and one of our favorite ways to watch the sunset with friends is upon the Cruisin' Tikis in Holden Beach.

There is so much to do on our striking island and beaches. Come and appreciate. If you have any questions at all please feel complimentary to reach out to the host!

How to find the best Wilmington, NC rental experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • To find the best rental home for your budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Wilmington, NC area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, picking, and booking a perfect Wilmington, NC rental home:

  • Choose a group leader, select your vacation week, and choose a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Anchor'd in OIB Condo in Ocean Isle Beach, NC\n has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what is optimal for your trip.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Call the host right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to compel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
