Let your spirit be your guide when visiting this colorful beach destination, where variety is what makes Carolina Beach so special. Travelers of all ages adore all that there is to see and do in Carolina Beach. We hope you will be inspired to start your own family beach vacation traditions here!

They begin in this warm and welcoming 3 bedroom 2.5 bath complimentary standing single family home. One block to the sand. Prepare your favorite dishes in the gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances. (If you don't catch it yourself, Blackburn Brothers Seafood is open 363 days a year and always have a great variety of just caught seafood.) The living room and Master Bedroom have direct WHITE WATER OCEAN VIEWS. You're mere steps to the beach and sand between your toes. Your back yard is an amazing wetland and wild bird estuary. Your home is bright with natural light and charmingly decorated. Four decks--three with seating and magnificant vistas. Appreciate gorgeous sunsets, sunrises, and handsome starry nights.

Explore family-friendly attractions and activities close by on the island at the North Carolina Aquarium and the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum, two of North Carolina’s most visited attractions.

Feel surf lessons with world class instructors, bicycle through town with the whole family along the Island Greenway ( two adult bicycles supplied,---please bring your riding helmets), hike or savor bird watching in Carolina Beach State Park. You can cast a line off the fishing pier or charter excursion to reel in a great catch. Rent a jet ski, kayak, paddleboard or bicycle from one of the many stores on the island and charter your own outdoor island excursion. The list of activities that offer classic beach and outdoor fun is countless.

The sights and sounds of family fun await you at the Carolina Beach Boardwalk, newly named one of the most magnificant boardwalks in America. The summer season brings amusement rides, seasonal live music and weekly fireworks. Savor sweet treats ( Britt's Donuts is a must--- they've been on the Boardwalk since the 1930's!), colorful stores with souvenirs and beach gear, oceanside eateries and tiki bars. For Java fans the Boardwalk offers many great options. We appreciate the Crush and Grind. There are just a few vintage boardwalks left in the country, and this one is extraordinary, so be sure to put it on your must do list.

Less than twenty mins. from your beach escape is the thriving port city of Wilmington. Explore the WWII battleship, the USS North Carolina, or Arlie Gardens. Wilmington also features many opportunities for shopping with unique stores in the Cotton Exchange, The Forum, Lumina Station, or Mayfaire. There are a variety of tours downtown in the Historic District, one of the biggest and most beautiful historic districts in the South. The 230-plus blocks hold their own alongside the likes of Charleston and Savannah. Downtown Wilmington also offers the Hall for the Performing Arts, the Kids's Museum of Wilmington, Cape Fear river dinner cruises, and tons of great southern cuisine.

Check out the local events calendar (search "Carolina Beach events") for more upcoming events in the area. Annual off-season events that include Boardwalk activities are Christmas by the Sea and the Island of Lights Festival.

Please feel complimentary to reach out with any questions!

Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation property experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Wilmington, NC vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations, tours and attractions.

Selecting and booking the bestvacation home:

  • Choose your vacation week and spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Pet friendly Ocean views Steps to Beach has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, call the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Wilmington, NC destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

More considerations:

  • Add the property manager's information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your life at home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
