Let the Beachside Breeze caress your face as you sip your morning coffee on the private balcony at this beautiful, modern condo. Located in the Palms at Long Bay condo complex, you’ll find one of the most private stretches of East Beach only a two-min. walk away while also appreciating simple walkability to shopping, dining, grocery stores, ice cream stores and more. No need to leave Fido behind as this rental accepts up to two dogs per reservation.

The cavernous open-concept living area is designed with flexibility in mind. Savor a favorite show or movie on the sizable flat screen TV from the huge couch. A set of four ottomans provide storage and can act as additional seating or a handy surface for playing one of the included board games- or hand of Texas Hold Em utilizing the available cards and poker chips.

For those who may still have work or school responsibilities during their stay, a desk tucked into the corner provides a convenient work-space. The sturdy dining table is arranged for four, with room to pull up two more chairs and an additional four seats at the adjacent breakfast bar. A card table and four folding chairs are also supplied if more seating is needed.

The kitchen features gleaming wood cabinets and quartz countertops. The glass-top stove makes for painless clean-up after cooking, and this space is entirely supplied with everything you need to prepare favorite family meals or the catch of the day. Just across from the kitchen is the laundry closet, equipped with a full-sized washer and dryer conveniently located in the center of the action to help ensure you don’t forget to turn that load of wet beach towels over before heading to bed.

Each of the three bedrooms is equipped with its own flat screen TV, so you’ll never have to argue about what to watch before bed at the end of a long day filled with adventure! The primary bedroom is located just off the living room and provides a king bed as well as a standard futon for calming or additional sleeping space as needed. In addition to a private bathroom with a standard tub/shower combo, this suite features direct access to the unit’s balcony overlooking the pool.

The additional two bedrooms share access to a hall bath beside the laundry closet. This bathroom also features a standard tub/shower combo along with a handheld shower head, an nearly essential tool for rinsing all the sand off of little ones after a day on the beach! Down the hall from the shared bath, you’ll find each bedroom equipped with a twin bed and a queen bed. One room features a bean bag chair that every kid and kid-at-heart will appreciate to flop down onto!

Your private covered balcony overlooks the condo complex’s pool deck below. Complete with outdoor seating, this space is close enough to the ocean that you can hear the crash of the surf and smell the salt in the air. You’ll notice there’s no shortage of the Beachside Breeze this condo is named for! In addition to the seasonal pool and soaking tubs, community amenities include an outdoor shower station and elevators.

When you’re ready to hit the sand, use the included beach cart to haul your gear with ease. Beach chairs and toys are also supplied for your convenience. A short walk along SE 59th Street at the back of the complex provides a fast and easy path to the beach. Because this public access point does not have any parking spaces, it is relatively secluded. To the east, you’ll find one of the most private sections of East Beach thanks to a numerous block stretch of undeveloped scrubland along the dune-line and public access points with limited parking spaces.

In the evenings, walk to eateries like local favorite Thai and Vine, beach stores, an arcade, candy store, ice cream stores and more. And if you'd rather craft the ideal appetizers and drink to savor on the beach yourself, Food Lion and the ABC Store are each less than a half mile away. This beautiful location really does provide the best of both worlds!

Ensure that your next family vacation is a Beachside Breeze and book your stay today!

The Palms pool area also contains one non-heated soaking tub and one heated soaking tub. Neither tub has jets. The pool area is open annually from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Specific condo communities may keep the pool open past Labor Day depending on the homeowner's association's recommendation.

Oak Island vacation rental booking tips:

Money saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Wilmington, NC area. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Wilmington, NC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.

Make a plan and choose yourrental:

  • Choose your vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Beachside Breeze: Modern Condo in Walking Distance to Beach, Dining, Shops has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a property that allows animals. Get specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge pet deposits and fees.

Know before you go:

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, make a record of any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the rental manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
