Strategies to get the best vacation rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Summertime is high season in the Wilmington, NC area. To book the most suitable rental for your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Choosing and booking the perfect Wilmington, NC rental home:

  • First, have your family decide on dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. CFS- Excellent location!!! 4 bd\/3bath Pet friendly! has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wilmington, NC rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is commonly available online. If not, call the property manager before you book your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your group.
  • Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the owner's information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, record any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
