Savor both spectacular sunsets AND impressive sunrises from this five-bedroom/four-bath oceanfront getaway on Bald Head's South Beach. Located on a peaceful cul-de-sac, Come Back Home, presents with a wraparound covered porch enticing you to stop, relax and breathe in salty breezes while relishing the gentle rustle of swaying palms. Linger here or take the few steps to the sand.
Inside, the first level's open floor plan accommodates two living spaces. The first, anchored by a comfortable sectional, would be ideal for snuggling or family movie nights. The second spotlights ocean vistas on two sides as well as entre to the covered beach-facing porch. The wainscoted dining area offers elegance and, through its French doors, another porch access. Savor eating either place or at the close by breakfast bar. The well-outfitted chef's kitchen is equipped with stainless appliances, granite counters, a farm sink and is close to the ample laundry room. This level also homes two bedrooms. The first is a generous, bayed King Master with a sizable walk-in closet, delightfully appointed Master Bath ensuite, and marvelous vistas inside as well as through its porch entry. The second main-floor bedroom, also proffering water vistas, is furnished with a Queen and a Twin and utilizes the hall Full Bath (with a very roomy tiled shower and granite vanity) just outside its door.
Upstairs, the natural light-filled landing holds a table and chairs-ideal for game-playing or doing a puzzle. Off this central space are three bedrooms. The first is another roomy King Master with a cove ceiling, and sizable ensuite housing a double granite vanity, a tiled shower with a bench, and armoire for hanging clothes. However, this suite's best feature is its myriad of jaw-dropping long-range vistas-all the way to Frying Pan Shoals—and its doors to an oversize sun terrace. Next door, a cozy bedroom with a Full and a constructed-in desk also enjoys spectacular panoramas from inside and through its sundeck egress. It utilizes the convenient hall bath. The bunkroom homes four Twins and a Full (twin-over-twin + twin-over-full + trundle), offers a giant walk-in, sun terrace access and provides a private entrance to the hall bath.
The enclosed ground level features a cavernous, private outdoor shower, bicycle and toy storage, a utility sink for fish or crab cleaning, and a “sandroom” entry to dust off your sandy toes from the adjacent #21 Beach Walkover, and help keep tracking on the coastal distressed-painted floors upstairs complimentary to a minimum.

Tricks and tips to get the perfect rental home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Book your rental property in Fall or Spring months to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Property management companies usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies supply Wilmington, NC area travel guides which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose and book the perfect Wilmington, NC vacation home:
- Choose vacation week and maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Come Back Home Oceanfront 5 Br 4 Ba 5 Star Amenities Pet Friendly Both Clubs has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. Otherwise, call the property management company before booking your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what is suitable for your family.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
- Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Store the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of issues.
- Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
- Make a record of any damages to the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to drive new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
