How to get the best Carolina Beach vacation property experience:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To get the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Wilmington, NC restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.

Choosing the perfect rental home:

  • Begin by selecting your vacation dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Deja Blue with an Ocean View at Carolina Beach has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property manager before booking your rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Record any damages to the property at check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to drive new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
