Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
  • Summertime is high season in the Wilmington, NC area. To get the best value, consider shifting your family's Wilmington, NC trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer great weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.

You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to choose the perfect rental home in Holden Beach:

  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. \"Sunset Shores\" - Formerly For Salty Dogs 2nd Row Home, 4 Bedrooms \/ 3.5 Bathrooms has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to determine what is right for your trip.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's an individual Wilmington, NC beach you are enamored with, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

More considerations:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of problems.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • During check-in, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
