About this Property

  • Sleeps 5
  • 2 Bedrooms
  • 1 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 576 square feet

This modernized beach bungalow is just two short blocks from the public access to the beach. The living space is 576 square feet plus a enormous screened-in porch. Partial ocean view from the porch. The bungalow is located in a peaceful residential area a short drive from the boardwalk. Linens and towels supplied. Entirely equipped kitchen with range, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee makers, can opener and all glassware, dishes, cookware, and silverware. Washer and Dryer.

Spectrum Internet and Cable TV, Ruko TV with multiple complimentary movie channels, and a soundbar audio system.

Junior's Place is a comfortable beach bungalow that gives our guests the "good old days at the beach" feel, clean and cozy.

The bungalow was constructed in the early 1960s as a typical beach home for the time. 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom- no closets. It was completely remodeled in the summer of 2018 with new wiring, plumbing, bathroom fixtures, kitchen cabinets, appliances, drywall, insulation, windows, floor, and a Ductless Heat/AC unit. Due to the lack of closet space, we have supplied plenty of hooks, hang bars, and storage cubes.
The screened porch is a marvelous place to hang out and relax with a partial ocean view. There is an outside shower in the back of the home for cleaning up after a walk to the beach and hooks on the porch for wet towels, beach toys, etc.
The backyard has room for badminton, volleyball, corn hole toss, etc.
It's a great little place and we know you will savor it.

*Smoking is allowed on the screened porch*
**NO WEED USE ON PROPERTY***

***Please be sure to check the pet box if you are bringing one before completing your reservation ***

Our top Wilmington, NC vacation rental tips and tricks:

When to book a Wilmington, NC rental & When to go:

  • To get the best vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain deals for nearby tours and attractions.

Make a plan and pick yourvacation home:

  • Select vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. \"JUNIOR'S PLACE\" Peaceful & Private, 2 blocks to beach -PETS OK - LOW PET FEE has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available online. If not, reach out to the property management company before booking the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Document any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peace. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your family vacation.
  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to stimulate new bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
