Getting the best Ocean Isle Beach vacation property experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To book the most suitable vacation home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Wilmington, NC attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have offers and deals for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

How to choose and book the right Wilmington, NC rental:

  • Select vacation dates and max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. OIB Moonwalk w\/Elevator, 4 BR & 4.5 Baths, 3rd Row from Beach, Community Pool has 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property management company before reserving the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.

Advice for your stay:

  • Add the host's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To make sure no damages are attributed to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas during check in. message the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
