Vacation rental booking tips:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in the Wilmington, NC area. To get the best value, try changing your vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wilmington, NC area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

How to pick the perfect vacation home:

  • Begin by choosing trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 1114 Boundless Awe by Atlantic Towers has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, call the host before booking the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what is suitable for your family.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the host right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
