Looking for a short or long-term vacation spot? Take a look at the Turtle Nest condo located in Oak Island's Ocean Walk community.
Make your way to this top-floor unit by elevator and step into a cavernous coastal getaway. The open-concept condo includes 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. There are distant ocean vistas from the living area, street-side bedroom and covered balcony. The kitchen is completely supplied with everything you need for food prep and storage including all major appliances, microwave, coffee station, tea kettle, blender, mixer and toaster oven.
There is bar seating for three and table seating for four. Flat screen cable-ready TVs are in the living room and all bedrooms, as well as high-speed internet access (including secure network access). The condo comes with a stackable washer/dryer as well as detergent.
Access to the beach is one block away. Beach chairs, body boards, pool noodles and a few beach toys are stored in our personal container for your use. There is a modest rolling cart for taking toys to the beach. Appreciate the sizable pool with lounge chairs, tables with umbrellas, bathrooms with showers and grilling area (bring your own charcoal). Outdoor showers and hoses are located throughout the complex for rinsing off.
Linens and bath towels are supplied. Please bring your own beach towels. Starter paper products, dish/laundry detergent/sponge, dish towels, cleaning supplies, hand soap, washing machine detergent, shampoo/conditioner, body wash and coffee/filters will be in your condo upon arrival.
The complex is adjacent to the business district. So park your car and walk to great eateries, beach stores, stores, ice cream parlors, candy store/arcade and grocery stores. Within a short drive are two piers for fishing, dining and strolling; boat ramp; kayak access points; putt-putt and elegant marsh walkovers. Rent paddleboards, kayaks and bicycles through a number of rental companies. There is room to secure bicycles in your parking space. There are also electrical outlets in the parking area if you want to rent a golf cart. Middleton Park is nine blocks from the condo with outdoor summer and fall concerts, craft fairs, festivals, Farmer's Market, athletic events, tennis/pickleball courts, skateboard park, kiddy splash pad and playground. The Point at the island's west end offers great fishing, shelling and handsome sunsets. The island is also conveniently located to golf courses; appealing Southport with fabulous stores, eateries and water vistas; the Fort Fisher Ferry and the Fort Fisher Aquarium. Wilmington, with its impressive downtown river walk, is 45 mins. away, while North Myrtle Beach is a one-hour drive.

About the Area

Located near the beach, this condo is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Oak Island Lighthouse and Bald Head Island Lighthouse are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Caswell Beach and Bay Beach. Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
