Finest of all, the whole family is welcome, as up to two dogs are allowed per stay.

Gather in the open concept living space on the third floor, where a fireplace provides a warm glow during the off-season months. The modern kitchen features plenty of counter and storage space, and is entirely supplied with everything you need to prepare newly caught local seafood, whether hooked yourself from the close by Ocean Crest Fishing pier or purchased from one of many enchanting local eateries and markets.

While two bedrooms are located on the top floor, most of the sleeping quarters are located on the lower two floors. Each bedroom on the first floor features its own private full bathroom, and you'll also find access to the pool deck on this level through a modest lounge complete with a wet bar and drink refrigerator. Strategies for getting the best rental experience:

Find your perfect rental home:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking your Wilmington, NC vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is a great way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for local tours and attractions.

Make a plan and pick your prefectrental home:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Ollie's Point: Spectacular Oceanfront Home With Pool and Elevator has 9 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property management company before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your family.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
  • Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few issues.
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Speak to the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be respectful. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
