We are two artists from NYC fell in adore with Sunset Beach. Ample outdoor space and comfortable rooms decorated with richly pigmented artworks with a mix of antique and modern furnishings (my travels near and far) inside/outside are reminiscent of a bygone era. Also offering the camaraderie of outdoor activities with the ability to getaway to your own. This vintage trailer home dating back to 1930 has been completely restored and refreshed to form a unique space for gatherings, celebrations, and collaborations.
During the season(May-September), both Sunset Beach and Ocean Isle Beach are visited by beach lovers from all over the world. There are few businesses that are seasonal but most businesses are open year around. My all-time favorite breakfast place is Big Nells. You can work up a zesty appetite after visiting the bird sanctuary or a trip to the USS North Carolina. Maybe Ingram Planetarium. Lunch or dinner is always in the city of Calabash ( Seafood Hut, Oyster Rock) or downtown Shallotte(Zaxby). The southern food is at its best in North Carolina. If you wish you can visit Holden Brothers farm market for hand made fruit jam or pies. Grocery stores big and modest are near by.

Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Wilmington, NC vacation rental experience:

How to get the best value:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Wilmington, NC area. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Wilmington, NC vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wilmington, NC area travel guides that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book a perfectrental:

  • First, have your family decide on date ranges and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Renovated retro trailer in within 2 miles of Sunset Beach & Ocean Isle Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of problems.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the host right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great ratings to drive future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.

Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
