Located just one block and simple access to the beach, you're also mins. from eateries, stores, breweries, Island Greenway trails for cycling or walking / running, the Carolina Beach State Park and a recreation center. Because of our location, you don't have to worry about the hassle of parking, and after a day at the beach you have access to our outdoor shower and lower level bathroom if needed.

The home is also just mins. from the Carolina Beach boardwalk, Fort Fischer State Recreation Area, North Carolina Aquarium and so much more.

The Space:

Designed for comfort and relaxation, we chose a layout and amenities we would hope for in a vacation rental.

The reverse style floorplan of the home makes it ideal to share with friends and family and provides better vistas of the ocean and sunrises from the top floor.

The lower level is where you access the home, and also features a covered parking area, outdoor shower and half bath which is convenient during beach days. The home also has an elevator, which makes it convenient to move your supplies and suitcases, or for people who have difficulty with stairs.

On the main floor, there is a master bedroom with full bath and a covered walkout porch. Down the hall is the first of two spare bedrooms with a bunk bed - full on the top, full on the bottom. The second of two spare bedrooms also features a bunk bed - single on the top, full on the bottom. The spare bedrooms share a full size bath located between the two rooms. The main floor is also where the laundry room is located, with front-loading washer and dryer.

On the top floor you'll appreciate a entirely furnished, cavernous kitchen with a dual stove and gas cooktop, plentiful cabinet space, a huge granite countertop and stainless steel appliances. We've also had a whole home Kinetco water filtration and reverse osmosis system installed. Just beyond the kitchen is an open dining area, game table and living room with enormous screen intelligent TV. Outside the living room is a walkout covered porch to savor the weather or watch the sunrise! Also on the top floor is a bedroom with queen-size bed and a full bath.

Guest Access:

While you're staying here, the home will be your private beach getaway. You'll have access through the main door or via the elevator, whichever is easiest and most convenient for the guests.

Interactions with Guests:

For check-in, you will receive a personalized keyless entry code for the door on the lower level. Once inside, we'll provide a key for the door to access the elevator. You can arrive anytime after 4 PM on your first day and leave by 11 AM on your last day.

Though we will not be at the home during your stay, we are only a text or phone call away. We have pulled together a list of our favorite local spots and adventures which will be supplied to you to help make the most of your stay.

Other Things to Note:

Please bag all your trash / recycling and make sure to put it in the proper container located in the parking area during your stay and upon departure. If you would like additional cleaning service during your stay, that can be arranged after booking and before your stay for an additional fee.

The home is also our personal vacation home and one we plan to pass down the family, so please treat it as you would your own, leaving it in the same or better condition than you found it (minus the cleaning, which the crew will take care of for you).

Tricks and tips to get the best vacation home experience:

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the best value, consider changing your group's vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guide magazines have discounts for local tours and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Begin by choosing your trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Townhouse a block from beach, Ocean facing, EZ Access elevator, Covered parking! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before reserving the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what bed configuration is best for your trip.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a particular Wilmington, NC destination you are enamored with, search for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Tips for your stay:

  • Put the owner's information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • During check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers bothering your peaceful home life. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to drive future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
