Getting the best Carolina Beach rental experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • Summer is high season in the Wilmington, NC area. Book your Wilmington, NC vacation in Spring or Fall to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations and attractions.

Make a plan and pick the perfectvacation home:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Traditional Queen Room Hotel- 2 Pools, Near Beach\/Boardwalk, No Pets Allowed has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wilmington, NC rental home search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Make contact with the host right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
