Finding the best Wilmington, NC rental home experience:

Find your perfect vacation home:

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summertime is high season in the Wilmington, NC area. To find the best value, consider changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.

How to choose the best rental home in Carolina Beach:

  • First and foremost, have your family select a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Traditional Queen Room Hotel- 2 Pools, Near Beach\/Boardwalk, No Pets Allowed has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wilmington, NC vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible online. If not, email or call the host before reserving the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
  • If there's a particular Wilmington, NC beach you long to visit, browse rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Get the host's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your family vacation.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
