Getting the best Wilmington, NC vacation home experience:

When to book a Wilmington, NC rental & When to go:

  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Wilmington, NC area. To get the best value, change your family's Wilmington, NC vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for local accommodations and attractions.

How to select the perfect rental in Oak Island:

  • Choose vacation dates and maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. newly renovated~ quiet neighborhood- beach gear has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email the property manager before you reserve the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or costs could be applied to your contract.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas during arrival. message the rental manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
