Strategies to get the very best vacation rental experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • In the Wilmington, NC area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Wilmington, NC area. To find the best value, shift your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Choose your dates and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration you need. Waterway Luxury Suite has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wilmington, NC vacation rental search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is right for your group.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

During your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of problems.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • To make certain no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Contact the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
