At Casanini there are two main level masters with a king bed in one and a queen set in the other, plus a separate upper loft with its own full bath and a bunkbed and a separate twin bed. We adore to prepare while we're on the island so the refreshed kitchen with a brand new refrigerator is supplied with most every cooking utensil you will need to grille or prepare a gourmet meal. Then take your meal out on the deck overlooking the lagoon or carry it to the upper deck overlooking the ocean.

About the Area

Located in Bald Head Island, this vacation home is near the beach. Smith Island Museum of History and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Wilmington, NC restaurants, beaches, and activities.   • Does your group require specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.

  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
