Three Seas – See why the sea is your happy place. This amazing bungalow is located in the calming wooded section of Oak Island and characteristic of the area’s Yaupon trees, these impressive, gnarled trunks greet you as you arrive. For simple unloading of your traveling essentials, pull into the cavernous 2 car garage. A great place to store any of the beach toys you brought along.

Imagine appreciating your morning coffee on the front porch in this peaceful neighborhood as you plan the day’s activities. The living area has tons of natural light & comfortable seating. With the flick of a switch, savor the ambiance of a fire any season of the year. Watch your favorite shows on the TV or bring home movies on DVD to relive old memories as you make new ones. Learn about the local area through the artwork & acclaimed NC artist William Mangum’s coffee table book.

The entirely equipped open kitchen (including Toaster Oven, Mixer, & Blender) is painless to prepare & serve from. There is ample space for storing your groceries. The dining table seats 6 & the close by kitchen bar seats 2.

If you prefer al fresco dining, appreciate the picnic table in the back & add flavor to your meal using the gas grille. After dinner get comfortable in the 6 Adirondack chairs & watch for fireflies. You can even toast marshmallows using the fire ring.

There is sleeping for 6 in the 3 handsome bedrooms & a pull-out couch in the living area for 2 more. 2 bedrooms (Queen-sized beds) share a hall bath with a tub/shower combination. The Primary bedroom (Queen) has an EnSuite bathroom with a walk in shower. Bring your bath bombs & soak away the anxiety of everyday life. No need to live out of suitcases as each bedroom has closets & dressers to unpack. Use the supplied full-sized Washer & Dryer to perhaps pack lighter & have room to pack souvenirs on your trip home.

The beach access is a short drive or walk down the street. There is one bicycle included for your use or you can rent bicycles or a golf cart. As you return from your fun in the sun, unload in the garage & wash away the salt & sand in the outdoor shower (hot/cold water) just out back.

One of the features of this bungalow is a convenient desk space with natural light & direct access to the back deck if you prefer to work outdoors. If you pack your yoga mat, there is a roomy additional room flooded with natural light for exercise or play.

Just as 3 bodies of water converge in our area, so will you, your family & friends at Three Seas Cottage. This is the place to make fun memories long remembered.

Booking the best Oak Island vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Summer time is high season in the Wilmington, NC area. Reserve your Wilmington, NC vacation in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer rate reductions for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies supply Wilmington, NC area visitors guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Selecting the best rental home in Oak Island:

  • Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Wonderful Island Home In the Peaceful Wooded Section Only Mins to the Beach has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available online. If not, email the property manager before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • If there's a particular Wilmington, NC attraction you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the owner's phone number to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • During arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
