About this Property

  • Private vacation home

This striking bungalow is steps away from the beach access at the Ocean Grille Tiki. You can hear the ocean from the screened in porch out back or out front on a humongous deck with picnic table. One block from the ocean, this home has been completely modernized yet still has the bungalow nostalgia when it was a barracks. There is plenty of outdoor living space as well as a yard ideal for corn hole, grilling out or appreciating your family and friends in the privacy of the back yard (fence). Entirely refreshed in 2020 (new floors, new decks, bathroom and kitchen with a screened in porch addition), this home is ideal for up to six people. There is enough room in the driveway to bring your boat or park three cars.

Booking the best Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best value, shift your family's Wilmington, NC vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers typically offer renters an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Planning and picking a perfect Wilmington, NC vacation home:

  • First, have your group commit to trip dates and a budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Beach bungalow at pistachio: one block from the beach and Tiki bar has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what is right for your vacation group.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.
  • Does your group require particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would at home.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. text the property manager immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
