Not what you would expect from a typical beach property. Bald Head Island is a unique island with Live Oaks, palmettos, Spanish Moss, white sandy beaches, and a charming golf course with lagoons, palm trees, that is completely landscaped. We have been searching for a Luxury home that blends all these aspects of the island, and finally found it. This 4000 square foot home with 5 bedrooms is located on the 8th green, with distant vistas and sounds of the ocean, all while being located on the edge of the forest. We have added a private pool and hot tub off the master suite. For security and safety reasons we have added outdoor nest cameras. We also have 1 four person golf cart and 6 person cart for your use. Once you arrive on the island after a phenomenal 20 min ferry ride (don't forget to book the ferry to & from the island when you book your reservation) all the stresses of the world are gone. Only golf carts and bicycles (we have 4) are allowed on the island. We also have a third golf cart for rent for $500 per week if needed.

About the Area

Located in Bald Head Island, this vacation home is next to a golf course and by the sea. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Oak Island Lighthouse are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Bald Head Island Information Center.   • Summertime is the most expensive season in Bald Head Island. Booking a rental in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses.
