I rent to a lot of repeat guests outside of Vacation Rental By Owner. Also own more than one condo. So Vacation Rental By Owner calendar is not always accurate. It takes about 24 hours to catch up on outside bookings. Email me for information on specials above. I am also on Facebook. This is such a cute one bedroom condo. Ocean view from your own private balcony. Pool right about back. Awesome decked beach
access on to the beach. Its less than 100 ft from the corner of our building. Smaller complex than most. Free parking at condo for one car. Possible complimentary parking near boardwalk at another property I own, also, for fireworks etc. No other owner can offer that. Tiki bar and restaurant across the street from condo. Restaurant has dining right over the ocean. No need to pay for restaurant parking. Just walk right over. Ideal place to relax and relax . More questions??? Just message Gail Longnecker on FB Wilmington NC if you like. My turnover days are Sunday and Friday during the summer months, due to cleaning schedule. I can rent Sun-Sun or Fri-Fri full weeks for $1350 , Summer weekends are $500. I also have an gorgeous Sun-Fri am special $925. My prices include your local taxes and bed and bath linens. The only other cost is a $50 cleaning fee for weekly stays. The cleaning fee for weekend stays is $25. I own two of these cute little condos ,in the same modest complex. A lot of folks,my repeat guests, like to rent them both together,if traveling with adult family, friends or another couple. Everyone can be together but still have their own private space. I have references from repeat guests. A lot of my guests have become more like old friends returning,in the summer, for a visit. Lost my husband ,way too young, to cancer,a few years ago. If not for these little condos and my precious repeat guests, with the grief, medical bills, and everything else, I would have not been able to keep the home,my late husband and I had shared . I try to treat my guests, the way I would want to be treated. You are a person, not just a name on a rental contract to me. I only live about 15 mins. from my condos. I won't bother you but if you need something, I am only mins. away. Thank you so much for looking at my listing. Hope to hear from you soon. Have a blessed day. Gail Longnecker

Our top Vacation rental tips and tricks:

When to book & When to go:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Book your Wilmington, NC vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Some hosts offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Choosing the best vacation rental:

  • Start by having your group choose trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Aug\/Sept\/Oct dates av and Labor Day wknd . Winter dates open has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property owner before you reserve your rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • If your family is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Wilmington, NC attraction you love, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.

Tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Call the rental manager immediately to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a wonderful time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
