Booking the best Wilmington, NC rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • To find the best rental for your budget, we recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Wilmington, NC restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Wilmington, NC area visitors guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Finding the best vacation rental in Ocean Isle Beach:

  • Start by having your group select trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. OIB Lovin’ Life - Steps From The Beach has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Wilmington, NC vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before you book the vacation property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon check in. Call the host immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
