How to get the best Carolina Beach vacation rental experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. Booking in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Wilmington, NC area visitors guide magazines which include special offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Wilmington, NC area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Finding the best vacation rental:

  • First and foremost, have your group commit to a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. ??Pickleball Paradise-Private Pool-Bikes-Pickleball Court-Pet Friendly?? has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Is your family looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to compel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
