Appreciate ‘Salty Daze’ on BHI while you frolic on the beach, lounge poolside, or savor gorgeous evening sunsets as you gaze out over the ocean. Our home is newly painted, elegantly decorated and outfitted to accommodate one or two families on a calming vacation. The wrap-around porches encourage outdoor chats and our screened-in eating area makes for simple meals while appreciating the view.

Our convenient location on Snowy Egret Trail (only one block from BHI Club and across from a beach access) makes it painless to zip back and forth from the bungalow for a snack or a nap. Savor cooking in our sizable kitchen with granite countertops while chatting with your family and friends in our very open floor plan. Watch your favorite programs on our Intelligent TV or play a game in the living area.

As you enter the first floor of our home you will find an open floor plan with a living area, dining and kitchen areas, a laundry room and a bedroom with a queen bed and bathroom. Our dining area seats ten and the open kitchen has a breakfast bar which accommodates four. The adjoining outdoor, screened-in porch, can also seat six to appreciate gentle breezes.

You can access the second floor of our home via our roomy spiral staircase to reach three more bedrooms and two additional bathrooms. You will have some the best vistas in the home from our master bedroom with a king bed, private balcony and its own bathroom. Kids will want to stay in our kids' room boasting a twin over full bunk bed with trundle and real stairs. Their room is equipped with games, a stereo system, and a TV for more indoor entertainment. The final room has another comfortable queen bed with French doors to it's balcony. A bathroom with tub is shared between these two rooms.

When you head to the beach, either walk across the street or take one of our two golf carts to access other parts of the island. Pack up the cart with our body boards and beach toys to spend tons of time on the sand. When you return home, wash off in our convenient outdoor shower and rinse your beach treasures or clean your catch in the outdoor sink. Some may want to take a walk over to the BHI Club to swim in the pool, play tennis, workout, eat at the Peli's snack bar or have dinner at a fine dining restaurant.

We also provide Wi-Fi so you can 'surf' the web and have four adult bicycles for those who want to bicycle around the island. (Additional bicycles available for rental or you may bring your own). Both BHI Club and Shoal's Club memberships are available for purchase. This summer is a Saturday -Saturday rental.

Tips to get the best vacation home experience:

Sticking to your budget:

  • Summertime is high season in Bald Head Island. Book your Wilmington, NC rental in Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Wilmington, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guide magazines contain deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Selecting the best vacation home:

  • Start by choosing your vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Seas the Day is now “Salty Daze “. -same great location and beautiful views has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Add the property manager's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a wonderful stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
