On the main level, you’ll find the open concept kitchen, dining room, and den. This is a great space for everybody to gather while you create amazing meals in the completely supplied kitchen. There are also three bedrooms on this floor. The first has a queen bed, a TV, and a private bathroom. The other two bedrooms have 2 twin beds and 1 queen bed, respectively, their own TVs, and share access to a full bathroom in the hallway. Off of the kitchen there is access to a “playroom” above the garage, which has 2 twin beds and a 75in TV, and acts as another bedroom.

This room gets fantastic light, has vistas of the Intracoastal waterway, and is the ideal spot to bring everybody together for movie nighttime or a rainy day in. There is a full-size pull-out couch in this room. The primary bedroom is also on this floor, and has a king bed, TV, and private bathroom with a walk-in shower and a soaking tub!

The real jewel of the home is the rooftop crow’s nest, accessible via the outdoor stairs that also reach each level’s deck. Here you’ll have 360 vistas of the entire North end of the island, including ocean, sound, and marsh vistas.

  • Some owners offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Look for your local Wilmington, NC visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides contain deals for local accommodations and attractions.

  • Upon arrival, document any damages to the property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a great source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
