The Breakaway is a handsome and well maintained home owned for over 23 years by the same owners. Each year it is refreshed and kept in immaculate condition. It is a very short walk to one of the top 20 beaches in the world according to a recent study by National Geographic. Sunset Beach is a peaceful, family beach great for families and couples. We offer four bedrooms and three bathrooms with an outdoor shower. Our screened in porch offers a view to the ocean as well as our Widow's Watch on the third floor. There is a private balcony off the upstairs master bedroom. Recently added is an outdoor renter's lockout area for your bicycles, golf clubs, beach chairs etc... NEW for 2024 Quartz countertops and tile backsplash with zero radius sink and disposal.Please note: During the summer months linens, towels, soap and shampoo is NOT supplied due to the fact that we rent both on Vacation Rental By Owner and via a local rental company. In the off season months linens and towels are supplied with the rental.

There is also a full hall bathroom. Upstairs is over 400 sq ft bedroom which has one full and one single bed. This property 7 days from Saturday to Saturday.There is a new washer/dryer in laundry room complete with sink. Savor the outside living space which always seems to have that beach breeze. You can choose to relax on the sizable front porch which extends the width of the home complete with rockers, on the side screen-in porch off of the dining area complete with an additional table for 6 and a sitting area, or hide-out on the side deck. There is a huge paved area underneath at ground level for a huge entertainment area. For outside dining there is a large table for 6, additional chairs for relaxation with a table for additional dining, a swing and new grille. Loads of parking space underneath and in paved driveway. House is located in the Tranquil Harbour Section of Oak Island which lives up to its name. A relaxing place to enjoy and convenient to everything. Appreciate a day playing or calming on the beach, fishing off the pier, kayaking in the intercoastal waterway, exploring the island on bicycles or in a golf cart, shopping in the island stores, eating at one of the local unique eateries, visiting the lighthouse on the island, or playing golf on one of the famed golf courses in the area.
